Family reunions
such a fun place to be
aunts, uncles, and cousins
so great to see
Some are local
others from far away
telling stories
from back in the day
We are blessed
to visit with one another
learning about life
from each other
The food is wonderful
most of it barbeque
salads and desserts
with a few dishes new
Thanking God for His blessing
enjoying this time together
fun and games
each year is a pleasure
We are part of a large community
welcoming each newcomer
growing each year
watching babies slumber
Blessing are abound
as we remember the old
thankful for the past
as our stories are told
