Eating a pear while walking
on a warm summer day
grown locally
from a tree on my way
My soul is nourished
eating this way
helping local farmers
living by the bay
God gave this land
to provide for our needs
lovely sweet fruits
from which to feed
There are festivals
across the land
celebrating local produce
with music and bands
It is summer
good things are abound
sharing with others
having fun all around
