Glancing around

what did I find

a penny from Heaven

different things came to mind

 

The sun shone upon it

radiating the color from within

shiny with a pinpoint

the penny was thin

 

This penny for my thoughts

thinking of how to share and express love

looking at those around

gifts from above

 

Kindness in helping a neighbor

giving food to those in need

healing the sick

teaching someone to read

 

Inspiration from a penny

nourishment for the soul

now picking it up

spreading love before the day is old
