Walking along the banks
enjoying a summer’s eve
beautiful flowers before me
blowing in the breeze
Along the path
a bird begins to sing
life’s joy in the melody
it is a peaceful thing
Further down the path
there are clouds in the sky
showers are scattered
welcomed by the tree that is dry
Headed home
time to take a nap
enjoying the summer day
with a book in my lap
