Vacation is coming
time to drive my car
Piper thinks she is driving
the destination is far
The car is packed
time to get in
sitting in the back
opportunity is thin
Then it happens
Piper sees where I dropped her keys
the car is running
I jump to the driver’s seat on my knees
Into the driver’s seat
locking the door in an instant
steering wheel in front of me
moving the car a short distance
Piper running
rushing with the key
pulling the emergency brake
stopping the car immediately
Jumping to the back seat
relishing the moment at hand
thrill of driving a car
my hoax is legendary across the land
