Morning meditation
searching deep within my soul
moiety in my spirit
from places that are old
At times there is peace
deep joy from within
spreading love to others
abundant and never thin
Then there is selfishness
where there is never enough
envy of others
items of mental and material stuff
Which part is dominant
moiety to be controlled
spirit lingering
longing to grow old
Selfishness contained
as the light continues to grow
love is more powerful
spirit begins to glow
A privilege to live
wisdom as time moves on
an eternal journey
renewed each dawn
