Sitting on the deck
listening to the quartet play
observing the beauty of the night
after a spectacular day
There are stars
dancing in the sky
surrounding the planets
questioning why
A comet goes by
wondering how far it has come
what has it seen
is its journey done
The moon shines brightly
light reflecting from the sun
where did it come from
do moon creatures run
Listening now
the music has stopped
the crickets are chirping
in the company of a moth co-op
It is late
breezes are blowing
the way home is lit up
some of the bugs are glowing
Meditation over
sleeping through the night
having sweet dreams
till mornings first light
