Water funneled the kayak
down the river bend
chilling for a moment
thrilling till the end
Emotions are high
as the river rages
the journey is fast
as my body engages
A bend is coming
there is a loud shrill
is the noise a sound of danger
or an exhilarating thrill
Crossing a water bridge
seeing the mountain tops
am part of the natural beauty
don’t want the feeling to stop
Time to take a break
coasting through a lullÂ
communing with nature
the journey is never dull
Adventure is done
feeling more alive
my soul is nourished
feeling blessed inside
