A Wind Dance

Silver bug

graceful as can be

dancing with dignity

what a sight to see

Purple flowers

wind dancing with the bug

a beautiful partnership

comfortable as a hug

Each move is directed

synchronized with the wind

a colorful combination

dreaming until the end

The story continues

 the bug dances around

moving along flower partners

as the wind switches sound

The bug flies away

as the dance comes to an end

on to the next flower

flowing with the wind

  1. Your work is always so gloriously descriptive. This morning the cicadas are really giving a run for their money in sound. I thought of them when I read your poem.
