The automobile’s chrome bumper
sparkles brightly in the snow
a beacon for the home
that a few know
The year has been difficult
with a new hardship each day
losing it all
seems to be the way
People litter the landscape
does anyone care
walking by the car
seeing it bare
A secure home
a warm place to sleep
is it too much to ask
causing eyes to weep
A kind stranger
brings hot food and drink
there is hope
I think
In this holiday season
let us not forget the poor
lend a helping hand
perhaps open a door
Remembering that for
the grace of God go I
spreading a little hope
on this holiday nigh

This is a somber poem, showing pictures from life’s other side. The poem gives pause. The audio is powerful.
Thank you. There are so many people in need that are often overlooked through every season of the year. Please stay safe through this winter storm that is coming. Have a wonderful day!
