Firtln’ along
marching to my own beat
cool water feels good
fish nipping my feet
Sun sparkles
creating diamonds and rainbows
blooms reflecting on the water
body begins to glow
Approaching the rapids
jumping on the rocks
slipping into the water
laughing as I drop
Time for a nap
hammock between the trees
birds singing a lullaby
sweet dreams put me at ease
Sweet spring day
filled with wonder
beauty surrounds me
enjoying this brief slumber

A magical world
diamonds sparkling in the sun
a small child’s imagination
a valley filled with fun
A true actophile
fills the valley with her collection
each with a personality
the mirror with her reflection
One gathers flowers
and puts them in her hair
another calling for a game
for all to share
Laughing hardily
while chasing a bee
discussing how it feels
to be free
Taking a nap
filled with sweet dreams
beauty of being a child
a precious site to be seen

Nightmares haunted me
while in a deep sleep
fighting evil creatures
the hole is deep
Monopolizing the nightmare
is the fear of dying
is there life beyond
a purpose for trying
Grabbing a compass
which direction to run
morning is coming
east to the rising sun
A wraith appears
think it’s mother
pointing to the sky
beginning to smother
Grasping for breath
one final attempt
slaying all fears
my life is exempt
Becoming one with the light
surrounded by love
friends and family join with me
grace from above
Living in harmony
this world has no fear
peace and contentment
not one tear
Sun is rising
nightmares are gone
free to live
grateful for the dawn

Haunted by doubt
holding a notebook of fears
praying for a better day
hoping inspiration is near
A window view
of the concrete city
spying a kenspeckle figure
body language quite witty
Glancing at the flowers
a thought came to mind
writing about the figure
including a creative design
Fear disappears
presentation quickly comes together
heavy spirit lifts
now light as a feather
Success comes
all doubts put away
smiling and grateful
inspiration came to stay

In the midst of the cobweb
there is a pocket of dreams
interpretations of life
trapped in a screen
Thoughts holding a conference
determining what holds power
discussions begin
at the midnight hour
Emotions assist thoughts
as the leaves glide in the wind
colors represent feelings
the veil is thinned
Red representing rage
at things that are unfair
feeling trapped
caught in a snare
Others leaves without color
representing death
is it all over
at the last breath
Yellow leaves
representing life
hope and love
defeating the strife
Morning comes
dew on each thread
sparkling diamonds
there is nothing to dread
Joyful thoughts
rule this day
feeling love
protected by a sun ray

Euphoria in the night
regurgitating tales of old
friends gather
in the autumn cold
Hot apple cider with rum
a homemade drink
gnarl in a tree as a tray
toasting as the mugs clink
Lighting sparklers
dancing in the night
a squirrel joining in the fun
causing a fright
Gathered in blankets
ghost stories are told
of devils appearing
with promises of gold
The moon is full
as the revelers make their way home
filled with joy
allowing imaginations to roam

In the storm there is a melody
encapsulating my heart
consecutively woven
a brilliant piece of art
Raging feelings
loneliness with each lightening strike
fighting for suvival
with all my might
Why can’t I see you
or feel your presence
voice as loud as thunder
you are not a rememberance
Becoming part of the rain
flying in the wind
dropping into the ocean
yearning to send
Living each moment
feeling the pain
searching for you
hoping to gain
Reassurance comes
in the form of a rainbow
getting closer
time is slow
Meditation over
never alone
you are always with me
my spirit has grown

Traveling through time
neurons intact
a Halloween long ago
excited to go back
Looking around
in search of a recipe
the cobbler is on the table
aroma is heavenly
Music playing
dancing to the tunes
greeting friends from long ago
reminiscing in each room
Now in the kitchen
filled with remnants of the past
love the oven
made when appliances would last
Cookbook open
recipe printed in bold
easy to read
filled with ingredients of old
Memorizing it all
time to return to the present
citing an incantation
the moon is crescent
In my kitchen
the cobbler sits on the table
warm and comforting
now a Halloween staple

A scorch mark on the table
defined the high stakes
the vampire and the mortal
blood or money to take
Eyes in a hypnotic state
winner take all
hands tightly clasp
who will take the fall
A cautionary tale
to anyone willing to take a risk
strength of the mind and body
breathing is brisk
Swaying arms to the left
and then to the right
crowd is tense
at the sight
A moment of silence
vampire is stunned
mortal slams his hand
grabs the money and runs
Grabbing the bottle of red devil
gulping it down
vampire turns into a bat
chasing the mortal through town
Night becomes day
as the sun begins to rise
mortal takes his winnings
and the vampire cries

The star spangled matrix
lit up the night
souls spidered into the crevices
out of sight
A figure hovers
with deep resolve
swindle a soul
in which to evolve
The figure is empty
filled with hate
wanting to love
before it’s too late
Into the matrix
the figure searches each room
finally finding an unguarded soul
determined to cause doom
The soul fights
there is fire within
the figure strikes
with an evil grin
A light appears
an angel in the mist
striking his sword
the figure begins to hiss
Hurled into the darkness
the figure diminishes
blinded by love
the figure is finished
Love wins the day
the souls emerge again
embracing each other
for the matrix a win
