The tires were packed
cheek by jowl in the yard
jagged edges beyond repair
life had been hard
The dump manager
was a petulant man
seeing so much waste
but he had a plan
Using a machine
to grind up the tire
bits tied together
bound by wire
The old rubber
will have new life
becoming garden mulch
blending in with the wildlife
More of the recycled tires
used as playground elements
a much easier landing
than a cheek touching cement
Another use is
a wastewater treatment filter
allowing water to be reused
no longer a killer
Fun to ponder
recycling the strife
the Earth provides alternatives
giving its resources new life

Hope in each word. Very nicely done!
Thank you. Have a wonderful day!
I love this! I always believed that everything we have can be reused many times and reduce the strain on Earth as a result. Great poem!

Absolutely, we have a couple raised flower beds made of tyres sprayed green. There’s always a possible use.
That sounds so pretty and creative. I agree there are other uses for things. Have a wonderful day!
I’ve also heard of tyres being ground up and being used as a reductant to produce steel. Here’s to all the clever recyclers out there.
Amen. There are so many clever recyclers out there. I admire them. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
