Across the bayou
there is a frigid chill
a new adventure to come
walking down the hill
Anticipation of the journey
paddles in hand
getting in the kayak
beginning to pass the land
The morning stillness
wildlife moves about
such peaceful beauty
the bayou has much clout
A bird flies by
having captured a large fish
returning to its nest
fulfilling a breakfast wish
There are waves
the breeze is getting warmer
clouds passing by
alligator around the corner
Meditation over
warmth fills my soul
content in the beautiful day
my spirit is whole

Thank you. Have a wonderful day!
Love the image of you kayaking, but worried about that alligator around the corner! :0 Enjoyed reading your poem! 🙂
Thank you. The alligators are not usually aggressive here if left alone. Thanks for reading.
Wonderful mind pictures.
