The river churned
waves and foam filled the air
a storm within my soul
stripping my spirit bare
Confronted with grief
what is life about
flowing through the river
my love to live without
Rapids run
what happened to the thrill
emotions out of control
now feeling ill
In the search
remnants of life remain
glancing at the forest
nothing is the same
In the blink of an eye
a spirit is seen
my love one stands before me
surrounded by a beam
Never leaving
glowing from within
always loving me
till we meet again

Lovely and touching.
Thank you.
Lovely poem! I like it!
Thank you.
So unlike your previous poems in subject and tone. Did you lose a loved-one? If so, I am truly sorry for your loss.
Thank you. Tone solemn today as I search for a place for my only living parent in the beginning stages of dementia. I am hopeful as there are many options. Thanks for asking. Have a wonderful day!
There is always hope where there is love. I hope that you will be at peace.
Amen. Thank you.
Lovely poem.
Thank you.
