Exploring the forest

through the eyes of time

many have lived and died

listening to the church bell chime

 

From dust we came

from dust we will return

in our time here 

what did we learn

 

From the trees and wind

we learned to dance

capturing every moment

even a romance

 

From the river

to explore land with zeal

coming upon the rapids

canoeing is a thrill

 

From the wildlife

how to survive

among adversity

we can thrive

 

When it’s time to die

our bodies return to the land

our spirits soaring

the physical experience was grand
