A flower is elegant

in its simplicity 

knowing when to bloom

living in authenticity

 

Standing alone

or in a garden

living in the moment

its spirit not hardened

 

Absorbing the sun

taking water from the rain

feeding a bird or bee

much to be gained

 

Seeing the universe

in such a small space

coating its surroundings with beauty

with simple grace

 

The petals fall

on to the next place

still spreading its spirit

nothing goes to waste

 

Meditation over

radiating smile from joy within

sweet beauty and fragrance

from a flower is a win
