Meditation in nature
an education from within
enjoying the cool morning
the air is thin
My heart leaps
watching the squirrels prepare
winter is coming
the nest is bare
Nuts and berries
nature has provided a bounty
scurrying to collect them
many squirrels in the county
The leaves are changing
orange, yellow, and red
so much beauty around
the squirrels will be fed
Preparing my soul
for the harvest of the year
reflecting all the blessings
of all that is near
Bountiful food
loving one another
sharing our lives
helping those that suffer
Autumn is coming
there is crispness in the air
my soul is refreshed
the cupboard is no longer bare
