Beautiful cardinal

singing in the trees

a priceless piece of nature

a wonderful sight to see

 

Enjoying the merriment

that is God’s creation

tunes so happy 

a morning’s admiration

 

The cardinal is joined

by other song birds in sync

songs carried by the wind

God’s creation is linked

 

The symphony continues

crickets and cicadas join the band

closing my eyes in meditation

becoming part of the land

 

The songs slowly end

as the birds fly away

a priceless meditation

as nature continues the day
