The young sapling

is planted in the ground

partnering with the land

fruitful to be abound

 

Taking from the soil

the nutrients that it needs

growing strong and tall

edging out the weeds

 

It is mature now

giving fruit in the spring

food falling down

spread like a ring

 

The leaves begin to fall

returning nutrients to the land

partnering with the soil

replenishment is the plan

 

The cycle continues

the process of give and take

trees and soil

each season they make

 

God has blessed them

a wonderful partnership

living in harmony

on this planet’s spaceship
