There is a fragrant sweetness
that weeps from my soul
expressing kindness to others
till the day is old
Opening a door
expressing a smile
carrying a person’s groceries
going the extra mile
Reading a book
to elderly who can not see
a smile on their face
a gift to me
Sharing an umbrella
in the falling rain
time slowing down
so much to gain
Loving one another
fragrant to my soul
living life fully
new adventures to hold
My soul is nourished
each and every day
meditation on kindness
going through life this way
