Euphoria in the night
regurgitating tales of old
friends gather
in the autumn cold
Hot apple cider with rum
a homemade drink
gnarl in a tree as a tray
toasting as the mugs clink
Lighting sparklers
dancing in the night
a squirrel joining in the fun
causing a fright
Gathered in blankets
ghost stories are told
of devils appearing
with promises of gold
The moon is full
as the revelers make their way home
filled with joy
allowing imaginations to roam
