The wondrous path
filtered by the sun
many cricket throats sang
tempting me to run
My shoelaces tangled
an experiment gone awry
multiple colors flowing
a result of luminous dye
Small creatures
interested in the sight
came close to investigate
giving me a fright
Walking down the path
stepping into some water flowing
fish came closer
to the shoelaces glowing
A cabin in the distance
happy to be home
finding new shoelaces
putting the colored ones on a gnome
Looking out the window
the gnome now lights the way
a path into the forest
adventure for another day
