The canvas is insufficient
to express the emotions in life
moving forward each day
in happiness and strife
Is a painting
just a moment in time
capturing the spirit
keeping emotions in line
Are emotions just color
is anger red
yellow a representation of happiness
does black express dead
Is green envy
causing people to stray
does a color have the power
to make people go away
On a gray day
looking at the clouds
depression filling the air
can color express emotions out loud
Meditation over
looking at the painting
putting the canvas up
thoughts for the day waiting

Piper's Adventures 
It reminds me of my main character in my book. Unlike me she is a great artist and understands the colours in her canvas.
I admire great artists who understand colors. I also am not a great artist and was so excited when my late husband introduced me to the color wheel. For the first in my life I actually wear things that match. Thanks for reading.
