Gallivanting around town
enjoying the day
he tilts his hat
as he makes his way
So many things to see
there is a parade in town
floats and bands
the grand mistress has a crown
Riding farther now
into the park
ducks walking on a path
dogs are starting to bark
Down the street
is the woman of his dreams
he stops to court her
his presence makes her eyes gleam
Returning home
neighbors give him a shout
content in is journey
time for lights out
