Riding the waves
so much fun
the tide has risen
birds on the run
Swimming along
a dolphin swims by
wanting to play
its voice saying hi
Waves going through me
it has an ebb and flow
small fish tickle my toes
one has a glow
There is a sparkle
sun illuminating the sand
seeing a shell
it has a rainbow band
Sandcastle built
an imaginary universe
tiny little moat
protection from life’s hurts
The tide sends waves
cleansing the beach
new treasures wash in
joy is within reach
Meditation over
walking along the edge
spirit is renewed
as the sun sets on the water ledge
