Water shimmered

radiating beauty and power

there is movement around

a brief rain shower

 

A small wind

spreading cool nourishment

wildlife fills the bayou

filled with encouragement

 

The sun fills the sky

a cloud forms a smiling face

squirrels jump in the trees

ducks have a morning race

 

The shimmering continues

fish jump in the wind

water continuing to dance

waves around the bend

 

There is peace

on this fine morning

trees and bushes flowing

radiating the flowers adorning

 

Meditation ends

my spirit is soaring

grace granted in a new day

ready to go exploring
