Walking down the dock
to a strange place
beautiful surroundings
a smile on my face
A foreigner floating
absorbing the sun
many sounds around me
this is fun
Frogs in the water
crank out a tune
birds join with them
a song about June
The water is cool
time to take a dip
floating on a tube
caused me to slip
Floating along
returning to the dock
keeping in line with the water
looking at a clock
No longer a foreigner
wildlife helping me navigate
having become one
of the wonderful landscape
