The trees are provoked
by the northerly wind
late winter in the bayou
causing wildlife to descend
Squirrels jumping
from tree to tree
having issues hanging on
acrobatics for all to see
The water is moving
pelicans diving midair
fish are scattering
show with a flair
Blue herons standing
at the edge of low tide
a magnificent showing
to all who go bye
A boat flies by
with flags waving
causing a wake
the water is shaking
Meditation over
serenity to begin the day
a wonderful adventure
kayaking this day
