In the midst of the storm
sulking in the winter time
nature decided to lecture
its purpose on a dime
When my winds are raging
covering the landscape with ice and snow
everything has a reason
on this tour we go
The snow and ice
melt into the rivers in the spring
life giving water
necessary for the rebirth of all things
The cold temperatures
are an equalizer for damaging bugs
slowing their growth
for when trees begin to bud
There is sparkling beauty
when the sun shines on the snow
an adventure in skiing and sledding
laughter on the go
Winter winding down
its time is done
a spring bulb emerges
with the spring sun
