Ascended high in the tree

the hawk surveys his territory

beauty abound

in each category

 

There is much to see

in the world below

plants and animals

some seem to glow

 

Glancing down at 

the water’s edge

people are fishing

gaining knowledge

 

The flowers are blooming

coming up from the ground

vibrant colors are glowing

can be seen all around

 

There are squirrels

collecting fall’s bounty

a note to himself

dinner is in the county

 

Spreading his wings

he flies with the wind

the kingdom is peaceful

as the day comes to an end
