The land is bare
covered with snow
winter is here
with no intention to go
A small bulb emerges
disobeying the law of the land
declaring time for spring
first member of the band
The winter speaks
voice echoing high
go back into the ground
it is still nigh
The bulb continues to grow
calling to others in the landscape
time for life to emerge
spring to escape
The disobedience continues
other bulbs come through
new life is coming
there is now ground dew
Beautiful blooms emerge
part of God’s plan
there is beauty abound
spring has come throughout the land

Gorgeous color of Iris and beautiful poem. I didn’t have any luck this year for Irises.
Thank you. My bulbs did better this year than last. They seem to do well every other year. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome! It’s strange, I saw my friend’s neighbor had beautiful Irises last year, this year they have other flowers!
Beautiful
Thank you.
