Late afternoons rains
bring about the summer
slowly falling rain singing
bring us into a slumber
Lazy days are ahead
listening to the rain fall
things slowing down
with fun things to recall
Summer rains bring the plants to life
pretty flowers and trees
rising blooms and weeds
Old women weeding on their knees
Life oozes with wonderful things
children have such fun
till the summer rain stops
and the school bus begins to run
