Meditating on faith
in a world filled with gloom
so much violence and hatred
are we all doomed
The canyon is filled
with lessons from life
speaking about faith
hope and strife
The rocks are grainy
loose with rubble
our lives can be filled with hate
a balloon filled with struggle
There is a smooth section
colorful like glass
faith slides without notice
hope slips on past
Then there is a small section
where plant life begins to grow
beautiful in it’s innocence
unaware it is not supposed to sow
So it is with the world today
with all its hatred and strife
with kindness and love
there is hope and a new life
