The journey of life 

 like a winding road

twists and turns abound

taking us into the crossroads

 

Each twist and turn

leads to a choice to make

compassion or bitterness

which road to take

 

Compassion and kindness

can be hard

when our feelings are hurt

our lives are marred

 

After every twist and turn

creates an illusion

that focus on self

is the solution

 

God heals our souls

when we love one another

kindness and compassion

instead of the road of the other

 

Loving one another

at the next turn

is healing for the soul

which is what we yearn

 

Let go of the pain

love each other 

heal our world

look out for one another
