A tree sits high

above the ground

struggling to survive

the soil is gone from around

 

The summer rains come

each and everyday

thunderstorms light the sky

washing the soil away

 

God gave us a soul

planted firmly in the ground

trusting in Him

to keep us abound

 

Treating one another

with kindness, dignity, and respect

prevents our souls from wasting

away per dissect

 

Loving one another

closes the puncture

everyday in life

as we pass through its  juncture
