Night falls

reflections from a dream

lost in space

nothing is as it seems

From the perspective of others

mind appears to be lost

strange behavior appears

sanity is the cost

Attempts at understanding

are perceived as an attack

unkind words are expressed

wish they could be taken back

Waking up

things returning to normal

relationships are changed

some are distant and formal

Forgiveness is expressed

from all who are involved

dementia is terminal

an issue that can’t be solved

Dying is difficult

leaving pieces at a time

tears from those who don’t understand

healing in Heaven is prime

Love never dies

remember I love you

we will walk together

when in Heaven I am whole too
