The rapids flow

immersing myself in water

wanting all anxiety and fear to go away

feeling like a squatter

Looking for an answer

something more than a symbol

starting a new life

water is only a thimble

Knowing I can’t do it alone

Jesus sends a fire

a helper to guide me

through life’s desires

The Holy Spirit

to keep me on the narrow path

putting evil in the ditch

avoiding God’s wrath

Picking me up

when I fall

gifts of healing and comfort

helping me to walk tall

A wonderful gift

to never walk alone

the Holy Spirit lives within me

till it’s time to go home

Father

Thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit. May we always remember that You are with us and that we never walk alone.
