2 When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.
The week has been long
and another hard day is over
feeling vulnerable
in all this exposure
I get up
straightening my crown
the Lord extends a hand
comfort when I am down
As a child of God
He walks with me through fire and rain
giving me strength
relieving the pain
This life is difficult
many lessons to learn
service to others
obstacles before we return
On that date the Lord
will say job well done
time to rest
welcome home my daughter and son
