Nightmares haunted me
while in a deep sleep
fighting evil creatures
the hole is deep
Monopolizing the nightmare
is the fear of dying
is there life beyond
a purpose for trying
Grabbing a compass
which direction to run
morning is coming
east to the rising sun
A wraith appears
think it’s mother
pointing to the sky
beginning to smother
Grasping for breath
one final attempt
slaying all fears
my life is exempt
Becoming one with the light
surrounded by love
friends and family join with me
grace from above
Living in harmony
this world has no fear
peace and contentment
not one tear
Sun is rising
nightmares are gone
free to live
grateful for the dawn
