Within the matrix of the city
trying to break free
constant distractions
trying to sedate me
Fleeing the web
an expatriate writer in the making
listening to the stream
homemade bread is baking
A new life
peace in the breeze
wildlife surrounds me
a life of ease
Able to breathe
the words begin to flow
sun streaming through the trees
there is a shadowy glow
Content at last
away from the rat race
spirit is filled with joy
living at a slower pace
