The whirlwind hit me
drawing me into the hole
gateway to another world
beyond my control
Life is disposable
in this strange place
sand swirling around
beating on my face
Seeking shelter
entering into a brick hut
there is peace
in a universe gone nuts
Comfortable
loved and content
an oasis
filled with pleasant scents
Another storm comes
sending me back through the gate
into the this world
it’s getting late
The sun is setting
reflecting beautiful colors in the sand
chaos has turned into peace
in this land

Nicely done, I’ve been stuck on a beach in a storm. Feels just like your poem. Well done.
Thank you. I agree. Sand storms have much in common no matter where they are. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
They sure do, they all blast sand everywhere lol.
You’re welcome.

Oh how wonderful this poem is Debbie! I enjoy a good storm when I am not out in it! ❤
Thank you. Storms are so powerful and exciting to watch. Often lightening will put on a colorful show. Have a wonderful day!
