Searching for perfection
on this beautiful day
a storm washed out a gulley
pushing rocks out of the way
Water swirling
causing a waterfall to blossom
I saw it immediately
the beauty is awesome
The perfect stone appears
now clean and pure
colors reflecting from it
magical I am sure
Picking it up
rubbing it on my face
cleansing my skin
taking away all waste
Slipping from my hand
the stone returns to the river
splashing cool water
causing me to shiver
The waterfall disappears
as the water becomes quite still
the end of an adventure
that was a thrill
Walking into the woods
heading back home
enjoying the magic
the freedom to roam
