A sailboat dead in the water

the yard was broken

storm clouds rapidly approaching

was this an omen

A stoic sailor is at the helm

quickly grabbing the sail

sanguine about the repair

praying it will go well

Rain begins to fall

there is thunder and lightening

the boat rocks back and forth

the passenger is frightened

The sailor works quickly

makes the repair

quickly heading toward the coast

taking great care

The storm calms

the sailor and passenger are safe

thankful for safe harbor

and God’s grace
