The Living Land

Blast heard across the land

coming suddenly like the wind

some trees almost made it

the world was in a spin

The land was decimated

such was the power of the fire

now it it is barren

the situation is dire

Arising out of the ashes

there is a tender green leaf

life is reemerging

will it be brief

Winter passes

there is hope in the spring

small animals return

the river forges a new ring

People come

manually clearing the brush

breaths of fresh air

there is no rush

Seasons pass

continued growth in the land

birds are singing

the animals form a band

Suddenly lightening strikes

the forest burns again

still some survive

fire put out by rain and wind

The Earth is alive

renewal in seasons and storms

ever changing

adventure is the norm
