Is anyone out there
my soul calling to the sea
simplicity in living
an example for me
A sea gull answered
as it was flying by
landing on a post
to explain why
Grateful for the morning
the sun is in the east
the bay provides food
it is a feast
The sea gull leaves
a fish begins to jump
answering me
finishing a fly up
Living in the present
there is no need to worry
enjoy every moment
no need to hurry
Alone now
basking in the wind
silence envelopes me
there is no end
A glorious day
living without strife
basking in gratitude
for the simple life
