The bird waits patiently
for the rising of the tide
having gathered treasures
looking for a place to hide
Others are coming
in search of the treasures
hidden in a nest
all for his pleasure
Walking along the bank
looking for a mate
he struts along
dancing for his date
The female is on the nest
the male sees a fish
he dives in
captures the main dish
The tide has risen
walking along the shore
followed by his young family
keeping them secure
The grass is swaying
the sun and water meet
the birds return to the nest
till time for the morning greet
