The bench is empty
on this beautiful day
no one has the courage
to sit on it and say
Life is difficult
there are days to take a stand
sing a different melody
be on the grandstand
The trees, birds, and plants
gather each day to dance
occasionally alone
sometimes together in a trance
In these difficult days
its important to remember
all souls present in this life
are a family member
Standing strong
giving a helping hand
part of a universal structure
together an elastic band
Meditation over
hug someone today
it takes courage to sit on the bench
be yourself this day
