Suspicious dark clouds are here

there is a  thunder in the air

a cold front is coming

with a rain and lightening flair

 

A funnel cloud forms

as the cold and warm air meet

it begins to spin

destruction at its feet

 

Running for cover

all forms of wildlife

debris is flowing

there is much fright

 

The funnel reaches water

becomes a water spout

growing ever bigger

leaving nothing out

 

Across the land 

the funnel has gained strength

the noise of a train

no time to think

 

The air is colder

the tornado has lost its life

returning to a cloud

the sky is now bright

 

Wildlife has survived

the suspicious storm is done

time to resume life

until the next one
