Corners carved out of the one of the elemental things on this planet – water. 

 

Walking in the canyon

corners at every turn

each facing a different direction

which way do I yearn

 

The elements of the world

wind from the sky

a smooth calm breeze

flowing clouds for my eyes

 

Another corner turned

water in the valley below

a visceral feeling of freedom

makes my spirit glow

 

The next corner 

filled with canyon rock

colorful and enchanting

life is interlocked

 

Such a special feeling

in the canyon air

calmness to my soul

in the corners everywhere

 

Living in freedom

connected to this land

music to my soul

part of nature’s band
