The sky is filled

with things that are unknown

brilliant lights unfurl in the darkness

new planets are grown

 

Is there life

in a universe so vast

can anything survive

all these violent blasts

 

Riding on a star

through the universe

seeing a planet

filled with life and verse

 

God created Earth

a paradise for us to live

light in the midst of darkness

a wonderful gift to give

 

He unfurled a glorious plan

life in the midst of dust

humans with the ability to love

to live and not rust

 

In the midst of strife

there is hope

overcoming the darkness

kindness hanging like a rope

 

Changing the world

one person at a time

not giving in to hate

being the light that shines
